BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:20 P.M.) – The situation inside the Gaza Strip has rapidly deteriorated, today, after both the Palestinian and Israeli forces traded a plethora of attacks.
According to local activists in Gaza, the death toll has reached 12 after this afternoon’s heavy bombardment by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
At the same time, the Israeli military reported that an Palestinian projectile hit a motor vehicle in the Israeli settlements near Gaza; they said at least one person has been reported dead.
The Israeli forces have reportedly targeted several areas across the Gaza Strip, including the Al-Bureij Camp, Rafah, Khan Younis, and Al-Zeitoun District.
The Palestinian forces responded by firing several rockets towards the Israeli Navy off the coast of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Defense Forces appear to be readying themselves for an invasion of the Gaza Strip, as both their 7th armored brigade and Golani Brigade have already redeployed to this front.
