Leaders taking part in the Arab League Summit in Tunisia have agreed to release a “strong statement” rejecting the decision of US President Donald Trump to recognise Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, Arab League Summit spokesperson Mahmoud Al-Khobairi said at a press conference in Tunis on Friday.

“The summit will release a strong statement rejecting this decision,” said Al-Khobairi ahead of the leaders’ summit on Sunday, March 31.

While the question of Syria’s return to the Arab League will reportedly be left out of the Summit’s agenda, Al-Khobairi addressed the issue saying, “there is no unanimous agreement for Syria’s return [to the Arab League].”

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

If you think Russia will interfere, you’re seriously deluded. Russian actions have a single purpose :

Any pipeline between North-Dome/South-Pars SHALL NOT reach the EU. Everything else is total BS, it’s all about the money, Russia is not the USSR…

Moreover, around 1 million Israelis are also Russians and Putin is NOT anti-Semite.
