BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:00 P.M.) – A ferry carrying fuel caught on fire while traveling down the Euphrates River this afternoon, a source told Al-Masdar News.

Opposition activists spread rumors that the ferry caught on fire after the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) attacked the  government’s positions; however, a source near the explosion confirmed that those reports were false.

As shown in the video above, it was a ferry that caught on fire while traveling along the Euphrates River in the Deir Ezzor.
