BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:10 P.M.) – The Houthis launched a big offensive in southern Yemen, today, targeting the government-held Qatibah District of the Lahj Governorate.

Backed by their rocket battalion, the Houthis began their offensive on Thursday by storming the defenses of the Saudi Coalition forces in the strategic Qatibah District.

According to a report from the official media wing of the Houthis, their troops managed to fracture the lines of the Saudi Coalition, resulting in the capture of several areas.

The Houthis added that their troops managed to kill and wound several members of the Saudi Coalition before advancing deeper into the Al-Lahj Governorate this afternoon.

Intense clashes are still ongoing between the two parties, as Saudi Coalition jets enter the battle this afternoon.
