BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:30 P.M.) – For the first time this year, the jihadist rebels have launched long-range missiles towards the Tartous Governorate in Syria’s western region.
According to a military source in the Tartous Governorate, the missiles were fired from the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate and were likely launched by either the Turkish-backed National Liberation Front or Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
Since the missile attack, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) has emerged over the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
A source close to the town of Al-Suqaylabiyeh said the Syrian Air Force is stalking the jihadist positions near the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) front-lines.
He added that airstrikes are likely to commence in the coming hours as the Syrian Air Force retaliates for this missile attack.
