BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:10 P.M.) – The Russian and Syrian air forces have resumed their aerial attacks on the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate this evening, a source from the military told Al-Masdar from nearby Hama.
According to the military source, the Russian and Syrian air forces unleashed a powerful assault on the positions of the jihadist rebels along the Hama-Idlib axis.
The source said the primary target was the jihadist supply route from the strategic town of Khan Sheikhoun.
Earlier tonight, the jihadist rebels launched a big offensive in northwestern Hama that targeted the main road between the government strongholds of Al-Sqaylabiyeh and Mhardeh.
The aforementioned strongholds are populated by Antiochian Orthodox Christians that have repeatedly repelled jihadist attacks in the past.
