BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:40 P.M.) – An Israeli soldier had a near-death experience recently after a sniper targeted his head along the border of the Gaza Strip.

According to Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen TV, the Israeli soldier was positioned at a mound near the Gaza border when a sniper opened fire and struck his head.

The Israeli soldier’s helmet proved instrumental in saving his life as the bullet ricocheted off his headgear.

Below is the short video that was taken from Al-Mayadeen’s footage near the Gaza Strip:

Nope, he’ll stop using rubber bullets and will shoot to kill instead. He’s pretty lucky : unlike the Yanks who now have NIJ Level-3 helmets able to stop point-blank 5.56NATO/7.62x39ru/5.45x39ru and also .308w/7.62x54ru up to 750m/s, as all other armies, IDF has only Level-3A helmets : these stop all pistol bullets including .44magnum, but not riffle bullets, although, it depends on remaining kinetic energy. Not a sniper, he carries a regular assault riffle, likely a Tavor.
In a few hours, Inlakesh will write an article about another peaceful protester shot by IDF since you can be sure there soon was counter-sniper fire : IDF has sound detectors allowing to detect from where a sniper is shooting…
