Ankara, Turkey (3:30 P.M.) – The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a televised speech on Sunday in which he vowed to eliminate the “PKK plague” in Turkey and Syria.
During his ‘Eid Al-Adha message to the Turkish people, Erdogan said it is his “duty” to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) and render them incapable of carrying out attacks in the region.
Following his brief message about ISIS, Erdogan shifted his attention to the PKK and YPG groups in southeast Turkey and northern Syria.
Erdoga went on a tirade about eliminating the PKK from southeastern Turkey, promising to use the Turkish military to destroy them and their sleeper cells.
He concluded his speech by vowing to eliminate the YPG/PYD in northern Syria.
