El Consejo Democrático Sirio, encabezado por fuerzas políticas kurdas, realizó su primera reunión oficial con el gobierno sirio en Damasco el día de hoy, afirmó su co-presidente Riad Darar a la agencia Reuters durante la mañana.

Esta reunión es la primera visita oficial del CDS a Damasco desde el inicio de la guerra, y se realizó sólo días despues de que ambas partes se reunieran extraoficialmente en las ciudades norteñas de Al-Qamishli y Tabaqa.

A principios de mes, las “Fuerzas Democráticas Sirias” y el gobierno acordaron compartir el control de la represa de Tabaqa en el oeste del campo de la provincia de Al-Raqqa.

Se espera que los encuentros entre ambos sectores de la sociedad siria se reúnan varias veces durante el próximo mes, a medida que trabajan una posible reconciliación.
