Former Israeli cabinet minister Gonen Segev pleaded guilty of charges of spying for Iran, at the Jerusalem District Court on Wednesday.
Segev, who was once Israel’s Minister for Energy and Infrastructure, was accused of leaking sensitive information about security sites in Israel.
The 63-year-old’s confession was part of a plea bargain in exchange for an 11-year prison sentence.
He will face a hearing on February 11 where he will be formally sentenced.
