BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:15 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched a counter-attack this weekend to retake the key town of Kafr Naboudeh from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
However, the jihadist attack on Kafr Naboudeh would not go as planned, despite their hype up video prior to the counter-assault.
In footage released by Muraselon on Saturday, the aftermath of the attack shows several jihadist corpses left behind by the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham that led the assault on Kafr Naboudeh.
Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies have attempted to capture Kafr Naboudeh at least three times since Monday; they have failed to recover the town in all of their attempts.
The jihadist rebels have lost several areas in the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate since the Syrian Arab Army launched their long-awaited offensive earlier this week.
The Syrian Arab Army has captured at least 15 towns and hilltops in northwestern Hama since Monday; this includes the two militant strongholds of Qal’at Al-Madiq and Kafr Naboudeh.
