BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:40 P.M.) – For the third day in a row, the Houthi forces have attacked Saudi Arabia’s Najran Regional Airport in the southern region of the kingdom.

According to the official media wing of the Houthi forces, their K-2 suicide drone targeted the Saudi military’s Patriot Missile System. The Houthi forces claimed the attack was successful.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Houthi forces launched a similar attack using their assault drones; these strikes targeted Saudi military hangars and arms depots, the group said in a statement.

The Houthi forces have recently gone on the offensive in several parts of Yemen and southern Saudi Arabia. These offensives have paid off for the Houthi forces, as they have managed to retake several areas while also pushing south towards the pro-government stronghold of Aden.

According to Sky-News Arabia, all drones were intercepted, which is not really a surprise for me since KSA purchased Rheinmetall/Oerlikon’s SkyShield. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTTJpvLJXJY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0oHvqIUEmY A 1:45+, you’ll see a drone shot down with a single shell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3zhkpVsn28 An the most recent add-on to the system is a 50kW laser… IDK if the laser add on is already on market but the tests are tremendous. Houthis are losing their time : this is not Pantsir, it’s barely impossible to go through this, in fact, even with an IFV : The Millenium-Gun is even worst than the A-10’s GAU-8A : unless your IFV… Read more »

And Switzerland law doesn’t allow to sell offensives weapons in a area of war.
Oerlikon’s will never sell a such system, I hope for this company.
