Hundreds of demonstrators gathered at the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv on Thursday to protest against the Israeli government’s ceasefire with Palestinian groups in Gaza.

According to reports, many in the crowd were residents in Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip.

The protesters chanted anti-government slogans and held banners reading ‘Bibi is weak on Hamas’ and ‘We want security.’

They also blocked roads at the Azrieli intersection outside the Kirya military base, causing traffic jams.

Some scuffles erupted between demonstrators and police.

“I have my friends and family in the south. And it hurts me every time I see on TV that there are sirens there. I immediately check on them, and it’s hard for me to see them suffering,” said one of the demonstrators.

“I came to protest here today, because if we’re going to have a ceasefire, I want it to be a ceasefire with no balloons, with no infiltrations, with no violent marches, with no rockets. I want a ceasefire that is a true ceasefire,” added another protester, a resident of Nirim kibbutz in north-western Israel.

Earlier this week, the Israeli government accepted the Egyptian-brokered truce with the Hamas in a bid to end the new wave of tensions between the two sides.

Protesting against this move, Israel’s Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman announced his resignation on Wednesday.

They should do like king Hussein of Jordan with PLO in 1970-1971 : since Arafat tried to take over th country he gave full artillery and aerial bombing on PLO refugee camps. It is estimated Hussein killed about 21-27k Palis… Since 1948, Tsahal killed only abut 75-85k in ALL their military actions.
Tsahal should take lessons on King Hussein, but also on Assad and liberate Gaza just like Assad liberated Aleppo.
