Hundreds of protesters wearing yellow vests took to the streets of Tel Aviv on Saturday, outraged by high cost of living.
Protesters marched through the streets holding banners and chanting.
Despite being inspired by the French ‘Yellow Vest’ protesters, the organizer of the demonstration in the Israeli capital Boaz Zonshaine said that Israeli protesters were not as violent as their French counterparts.
“But we share the same pain,” added Zonshaine.
The ‘Yellow Vest’ movement first emerged last month in France after French President Emmanuel Macron announced hikes in fuel prices to encourage a transition towards greener energy.
The French government have now suspended the prices hikes but despite this the protests continue.
