DAMASK, SIRIJA – Iračke Oružane Snage pokrenule su dugo očekivanu ofanzivu na Tal Afar, glavno uporište ISIS’a u zapadnom delu Mosul’a.

U Subotu ujutru, Iračke snage su zajedno sa PMU i Kataeb Hezbollah bataljonom pokrenule veliku ofanzivu na istočni deo Tal Afar dzepa.

Nakon uspešnog probijanja kroz prvu liniju odrane ISIS’a, Iračka vojska oslobodila je 6 sela,  Tal Khima, Shiek Qura, Baligha, Zarnook, Mahafeef i Dam Sinjar.

Intenzivni obračuni trajali su do podneva kada su Iračke snage zaustavile ofanzivu da bi učvrtstili svoje položaje u osvojenom području.
