Iran will pay thousands of dollars to families of Palestinians killed in a wave of anti-Israeli protests and violence, or whose homes have been demolished by Israel, Tehran’s ambassador to Lebanon said on Wednesday.

Scores of Palestinians and dozens of Israelis have been killed in five months of street violence. Palestinians have carried out stabbings, shootings and car rammings, and Israeli security forces have shot dead many assailants.

The recent violence has been stoked by a dispute over Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa mosque compound and the failure of several rounds of peace talks to secure the Palestinians an independent state in Israeli-occupied territory. “The decision firstly includes giving an amount worth $7,000 to every family of a martyr of the intifada in Jerusalem,” ambassador Mohammad Fathali said at a Beirut news conference.

Iran would also offer “$30,000 to every family whose home the occupation (Israel) has demolished for the participation of one of its sons” in the unrest, he said.

Israeli army bulldozers on Tuesday demolished the homes of two Palestinians who killed five people in attacks in the occupied West Bank and Israel last year.

Israeli officials say such demolitions could deter other Palestinians from launching attacks in a campaign that has killed 28 Israelis and a U.S. citizen since October.

In the past five months, Israeli security forces have killed at least 168 Palestinians, 111 of whom Israel says were assailants, while most others were shot dead during violent anti-Israeli protests.

What a backwardly stupid thing to do! Give away Iranian people’s money to a people who readily betray the mullahs!

It’s an Islamic and moral thing to do, Iran probably wants to give itself a good image to the palestinians since there’s alot of propaganda against it.

More fool the stupid mullahs then. The “islamic” thing to do? Really? How about the right thing to do, and how about the mullahs donate money to the poor and hungry in their own country, or are the lives of their own citizens not worth the “good image” helping a bunch of sectarian traitors who at one opportunity would cut the head of a “kafir” and join Daesh! If Iran has real political ambitions to become a super power, it would stop pandering to a bunch of terrorists like Hamas and build its economy on stability, not war. Even a… Read more »

Kachef Reza Alkareme Kachef Palestine Conflict was the cause that cause Arab League to be formed they fought with Israel but many countries Including Egypt and Syria failed Miserably because French/US/UK Involvement and support to Israel. There is less Anti-Israel Policy in Arab world nowadays but more Pro-Palestine Policy. Iran is a new entrant in this Game but what Iran focus is only Militancy. If Iran can make such a Harsh Anti-Zionist Policy towards Israel they can also Attack and resolve this Problem but Iran has different Agenda in mind which is to prove the Middle East that Iran is… Read more »

Iran isn’t a new entrant, Iran’s stance has been against the Israel since the revolution, Iran is not in such a position to attack directly on a country which is backed by world powers like America and Europe, but Iran is always supporting Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel. Hezbollah= iran, so Hezbollah has fought many battles with Israel like 2006,1992 and many other attacks on Israeli forces,
The question here is why SA even hasn’t send a single bullet for the Palestinian resistance???

Kachef Reza Alkareme Formation of Arab League and their 3 Wars including SA and other Arab Brother Countries are firm on Palestine Stance and Its very old conflict. What Hezbollah and Iran did was good because Israel captured their territories like Israel Captured Syrian and Egyptian Territories. To restore your Land is different than a War so here is the Point of Correction. Palestinian Resistance is divided where one Part seek Jordanian styled Political Solution and the other one seek Militant Style so this is the reason. Arab League support both but Political Solution is suitable.
