Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif accused Israel of “looking for war” in the Middle East, during an event at the Munich Security Conference on Sunday.

“Well, certainly some people are looking for war,” said Zarif, adding that it is “Israel.”

Zarif accused Western countries of fueling the situation, saying that “the risk [of war] is great and the risk will be even greater if you continue to turn a blind eye to severe violations of international law.”

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end (τελος – in this context: fulfillment; consummation) is not yet.” (Matthew 24:6, NW) The global nuclear war, (this will be the fulfillment of the sign of Jesus), will start with an ethnic conflict: “For nation will rise against nation”, as in 2008 in Georgia. (Matthew 24:7) This time it will be a world war not only by name. The “great sword” will also be… Read more »

Bunch of miserable bigots into self fulfilling prophecies, as for those stupid pro-jihad, you’re all into eschatology! You all want to destroy the world thinking some messiah will come to bring you heaven… Same c**p for those who believed about the coming of Quetzalcoatl so believing conquistadors were gods, let them demolish their civilisation… Global nuclear war? Maybe should you have avoided Sunday-school and learnt physics and more about weapons like these and their very mean effects… Do you know about fallouts, about the effects of radiations or about nuclear winter? “to turn a blind eye to severe violations of international law.” => Maybe Zarif should put his nose out of Koran and read e.g. the UN Charter and the Hague Convention for a start… He’d soon learn that – Using a proxy militia to attack a state is a de-facto declaration of war from the proxy’s backer… Note that Hezbo did attacks in about 40 countries, all of them can rightfully consider Iran declared war on them! Thus, since Iran backs Hezbollah, Hamas, PIJ, the Houthis and even Shia troublemakers in Nigeria… – An embassy e.g. in Iran is not… Read more »
