BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 P.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) terrorist organization carried out a new ambush against a group of Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah soldiers in the southeastern countryside of Palmyra on Wednesday.
According to a report from Damascus, a group comprised of Hezbollah and Syrian Arab Army soldiers were ambushed along a road between the cities of Palmyra and Deir Ezzor.
As a result of the ambush, at least one Hezbollah fighter and several Syrian Arab Army soldiers were killed.
The group was reportedly targeted by a roadside bomb that was planted by the Islamic State terrorists in the Badiya Al-Sham region of eastern Homs.
While the U.S. administration claims the Islamic State nearly defeated in Syria, the facts on the ground argue otherwise, as approximately 1,500-3,000 are estimated to remain inside the Badiya Al-Sham region.
