BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 P.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) emerged within the U.S.-held Tanf Zone this week to lay an ambush against a group of rebels near the Iraqi border.

According to reports, the Islamic State ambushed a vehicle belonging to the commander of the U.S.-backed Jaysh Mughawir Al-Thoura group as he was traveling through the Tanf Zone.

The Jaysh Mughawir Al-Thoura commander, Mohannad Al-Talaa, and two of his bodyguards, were seriously wounded after the Islamic State fired an anti-tank guided missile at the rebel commanders vehicle.

Al-Talaa is reportedly in critical condition as a result of the wounds he sustained during the attack by the Islamic State.

Due to the fact that the Tanf Zone is primarily surrounded by desert terrain, the Islamic State is able to slip back-and-forth through the area while remaining relatively undetected.

This ambush in Al Tanf is very convenient to US plans to stay there.
It is win – win.

IS wants the US to stay as they are the declared crusader enemy number one. And the US want to stay because of their anti Assad and Iran stand.

p.s. If IS did not manage alone – the US should have helped by turning a blind eye. Government forces never managed to ambush there but were intercepted. But who knows. The blame for an ambush can always be put on IS if they managed.

Actually, the Trump admin is not so anti-Assad : they even proposed to back his presidency would he ask IRGC and Hellbollah to leave 😉

And actually, it’s REALLY the best thing he could do for Syria : they’re not necessary any more and he has Russian help. It’d also make the Israeli strikes to stop.

While Yankees would accept leaving and IMF accepting unlocking funds to rebuild. Let’s be clear : neither Russia nor Iran can lease enough money to rebuild…

and you don’t want to borrow from Chinese banks, actually, you’d lose less by directly selling the country to Beijing than by taking a loan from them!

This is called the “Chinese Dragon Trap” by economists. Hey, they proposed 2 squadrons of J-10 (AKA IAI Lavi, yup! Israeli created aircraft)…

@Daeshbags-Sux, the Syrians can rebuild like the Germans once the US sanctions fall.

Better without many foreign loans.

@Daeshbags-Sux, Israel must stop aggressive incursions of all armed forces anyway. Since Syria formally accepted UNSC res. 338, the cease-fire at the end of the Yom Kippur War (in 1973), which embraced aka included UNSC res 242.

@Pink, your info is outdated. Assad and the Kurds have won.

The Syrians that stayed hate Erdogan Sultan’s TAF, MIT and SLF more than Assad’s SAA and Kurdish YPG/SDF.

And the Syrian expatriates opinion does does not matter.
