BEIRUT, LIBANON (17:30 Uhr) – Der ehemals große Kessel des so genannten Islamischen Staates (ISIS) im Nordosten des Gouvernements Hama ist jetzt auf ein paar hundert Quadratkilometer Territorium nahe der Grenze zur Idlib-Provinz reduziert worden.

Unter der Führung der Eliteeinheit der ‘Tiger Forces’ setzte die syrisch Armee ihre Feldoperationen innerhalb dieses Kessels fort und befreite heute mehrere Gebiete von den Terroristen des Islamischen Staates.

Laut dem neuesten Militärbericht von dieser Front hat die syrische Armee heute Nachmittag die Städte Rasm Madhi, Masitbah, Jubb Al-Hab, Rajm Jaara, Makhlaf, Ayn Zarqa und Abu Maiyal befreit.

Als Folge dieses Vorrückens wurde die Präsenz des islamischen Staates im Nordosten von Hama auf 250 Quadratkilometer reduziert.

Die syrische Armee hat nur noch wenige Gebiete übrig, die sie vom IS befreien muss, einschließlich der strategischen Stadt Surouj.
