BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – Israel is claiming that the Iranian missile fired into the occupied Golan Heights earlier this year had violated international law.

The missile used was a “medium-range surface-to-surface missile” that was allegedly transferred from Iran to Syria after January 2016; this is a violation of Annex B of the UN Security Council Resolution 2231, the Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said on April 4th, as reported by IHS Janes.

According to Danon, the Iranian missile allegedly “flew no less than 60 km” and was equipped with a “precise warhead”.

“The [Security] Council must take responsibility for stopping these activities that continue to jeopardize the safety and security of our region,” Danon said in the letter.

As stipulated in UN Resolution 2231, Iran is prohibited from transferring any military equipment to a foreign country.

The attack that took place on January 20th was carried out by the Syrian Arab Army in retaliation for an Israeli projectile that targeted the western part of the country.

Israel has launched several attacks inside Syria since the start of the Syrian conflict in 2011 and while these strikes have often targeted sites that have an Iranian presence, they have occasionally caused some friction with the Russian military.

In particular, the Israeli airstrikes in western Syria on September 17th, 2018 resulted in the downing of a Russian IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft.

While the Syrian air defense units were the ones that shot down the Russian plane, Moscow blamed Israel for using their aircraft for cover during the exchange.

And what would Israel know about adhering to International law? 🙂
The missile was fired by Syrian forces, if it ever happened, and not by the Iranians so what is their point?
Perpetual Victim status engaged 🙂

They surely know better than the Iranian regime which only knows sharia and perpetrated the mass murder of 30,000 political prisoners and funds terrorist groups for decades.

Talking about which rights?
What Israili occupational forces are doing in Palestine from 7 decade’s? Just killing innocent people of Palestine ..

There is no state named Palestine and never was. It could have happened had Arabs who illegally occupy Judea, Samaria and Gaza for 71 years while these belong to Israel had chosen peace. Instead, they’ve chosen violence, hatred and to spread the lies you believe in, so there won’t be a Palestinian state.

If what you say was true, why Palis don’t go to the ICC? Oh, yes, they’d have to prove their accusations before the court since since it’s a body of lies, it’s nowhere near to happen. They once tried, coming with #PALLYWOOD footages… Unfortunately, IDF records everything and in large plans and your favourite Goebbels’ fanboys were rebuked.

The ICC already condemns the rogue state of Israel of several key counts of illegality. Namely illegitimate detainment, kidnapping and mistreatment of thousands of underage teenager along with some of their relative, deprivation of basic rights for political activists with record of violent behavior, harmful behavior at illegal checkpoint leading to regular death and injury of ordinary Palestinians, including elders in need of medical attention and pregnant women who have to give birth on the spot and see their infant die there. What the heck are you talking about again ? Also, UNHCR systematically condemns the entirety of Israel’s behavior… Read more »

This is BS about the ICC: you’re mistaking instruction and indictment of a file! Instruction has never led to any indictments because you come with your habitual lies and the complaints ever failed to bring proofs since IDF perfectly document their actions. Moreover, it’s neither Hamas nor PA interest to really dig since they are the true criminals. UNHCR = High Committee on Refugees. Again, you don’t know what you’re talking about since you’re mistaking with UNHRC (human rights council) which has became the laughing stock of the UN since, through briberies, it ends with a majority of dictatorships seating… Read more »

“Instruction has never led to any indictments because you come with your habitual lies and the complaints ever failed to bring proofs since IDF perfectly document their actions.” ==> By your standards I’d say that US pressure alone was enough to smother any real authority by the ICC in any binding way ? I knew you’d come and bring up the issue of instructions vs indictment, and the only laughable liar here is the one claiming that the IDF documents its actions. Human Rights organization like Betselem do, and ex-soliders with a case of guilt do, and all of these… Read more »

Not even Zionist, BTW, Zionism is dead : the Zionist party only weights about 10% of Knesset. This is the blood that flows in my veins : 🤣 Whatabout the fake Arab world? The Levant is NOT Arab, Egypt is NOT Arab, so is it for Sudan and Maghreb/Libya. As you don’t keep with what your schizo prophet told you, e.g. it’s twice written in Koran that Israel belongs to the Jews and also Muhammad al-Shirk also prophetised this : “It is narrated on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar (‘Abdullah b. ‘Umar) that the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon… Read more »

Wrong Daeshbag, if anything Judea does not belong to Jews it still belongs to Rome by right before Muslim conquest. Jews chose violence and hatred and paid the price with the Romans (and earlier the Greeks).

Romans were the invaders, BTW, we -the Franks- dismantled the Roman Empire.
Muslims were invaders too, moreover, they became cursed by doing this since Coran specifies twice that Israel is the land of the Jews and nobody else, not speaking that Islam is only for Arabs, thus making their conquests null and void, including in Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Maghreb, Africa, Persia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other Asian countries.

And what about the International Law when Israel made spice missiles are fired in Pakistan by Indians?

Ask Pakis who fund/arm/shelter the terrorists who slaughter Indians. Wait a little : new round, Rafale will be around, SCALP-EG is MUCH MORE DESTRUCTIVE than SPICE-100, and Paks won’t lose only a single F-16. The 24 strike pack will be shot down before being able to see any target. I hope we’re also selling a totally classified thing I won’t talk about, except that it can totally neutralise Paki nuclear arsenal, thus allowing Pakistan to become Hindu again. We’ve all been too lenient for too long with all these terrorism-funding states. I think we all hoped they’d end coming to… Read more »

The Golan Heights are Syrian Land Not part of Israel.

Israel The Occupying Power violated this UN Resolution : 242, 338, 446, 452, 465, 476, 478, 1397, 1515, and 1850.

You mix UNGA resolutions that are NOT BINDING and UNSC ones that may be binding when there is a specific order in. e.g. 1967 UNSC Res 242 is only advising Israel to evacuate Golan Heights but it also says Arab countries have to stop attacking Israel which they NEVER stopped, except Egypt after 1979 and Jordan after 1994. BTW, let me remind you that UNSC Res 1701 orders the disarmament of Hezbollah… In fact, UNSC resolutions are only binding when there is the political will to enforce them. Nobody will say anything about Israel targetting Hezbollah or IRGC since both… Read more »

UNSC res 1701 is not enforced by Chapter VII. So the Israeli have no right to take it into their own hands because it does not allow IDF Lynch mobs abroad. UNSC res. 242 is ”Emphasizing the inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war” and continues: “(i) Withdrawal of Israel armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict;”

I confirm, UNSC Resolution 2231 stipulates this. That is called being SCREWED since Iran needs the approbation of UNSC to move in or out its territory any type of cruise or ballistic missiles or any part used to build these.
This is very bad since UNSC resolutions need the approval of Russia and China => It sux for Iran.

Mmmh is that so. What about relevant UN Resolutions claiming that Israel’s very claim on the Golan is void and illegal to begin with, that the Golan is SYRIAN territory stolen by the force of military aggression and nothing else, that its forceful takeover and following annexion are abusive and unacceptable by every single international standard ? what about the very UN Charter that clearly qualify its hundreds of unilateral and unprovoked strikes on foreign neighbor as complete and unacceptable breaches of sovereignty ? what about growing a brain and seeing the whole picture and not just whatever hopeless and… Read more »

That’s where you miss serious points : Israel’s annexation of Golan is illegal, not the occupation! UNSC Res.242 says Israel SHOULD give back GH to Syria and Arab states SHOULD engage in peace processes with Israel. Sinai was occupied then returned to Egypt after Sadat engaged in peace treaty. Syria lost GH in 1967, but actually, was ALREADY illegally occupying it for long. Nobody forced Syria at attacking Israel in 1967 then again in 1973 and the occupation will be legal as long there won’t be a peace treaty Syria always refused to engage in. Now, Israel can refuse to… Read more »

“Israel’s annexation of Golan is illegal, not the occupation! UNSC Res.242 says Israel SHOULD give back GH to Syria and Arab states SHOULD engage in peace processes with Israel.” ==> as you said yourself, most of these resolution are non-binding no matter what, so the wording is of no relevance whatsoever to the legitimacy of the hard facts the refer too. By that rationale, UN Resolution 2231, that you clearly haven’t ever read, merely CALLS UPON Iran to refrain from any ballistic missile-related works giving them the means to launch nuclear-capable missiles. Every single anti-ballistic resolution triggered by the US… Read more »

@Daeshbags-Sux, UNSC Resolution 2231 is about peaceful use of atomic power by Iran. And about lifting sanctions.

So the point You are making is void.

And do the US comply to the UNSC resolution?

If not – why should Iran?
