BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 A.M.) – Israeli military helicopters entered southern Lebanon on Wednesday morning, prompting the Lebanese Army to raise their alert levels.
According to a Lebanese military communique, four Israeli helicopters entered southern Lebanon and began circling the Wadi Al-Assal, Abassieh, Ghajar, and Al-Wazzani localities.
The Israeli helicopters then moved as far east as the occupied-Sheba’a Farms before finally returning to the Upper Galilee region along the Lebanese border.
The reason for the Israeli overflights is unknown as they rarely send helicopters into southern Lebanon.
This is also the second time in the last three weeks that Israeli military choppers have entered Lebanese territory..
