BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 P.M.) – An Israeli warplane was spotted over the southern region of Lebanon this evening before making its way towards the southeastern part of the Levantine country.
According to local reports, the Israeli warplane was traveling from the Nabatieh Governorate towards the Syrian border.
While it is not unusual for Israeli warplanes to enter Lebanese airspace or approach the Syrian border, the timing of the flight has raised suspicions of a potential attack.
Typically, when the Israeli Air Force bombs military sites in southwestern Syria, they conduct their strikes at night using this flight path.
The past two Israeli attacks on Tal Al-Harrah (Daraa) and Tal Bariqa (Al-Quneitra) in southern Syria have been carried out by their ground forces near the demilitarized zone.
