BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:40 P.M.) – It has been a fought day for the jihadist rebels in northwestern Hama as their forces have conceded several areas to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in a short period of time.

Led by their Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army kicked off the day by overwhelming the jihadist defenses near the historical town of Qal’at Al-Madiq: this would pave the way for their eventual advance into this jihadist stronghold.

The Syrian Arab Army would then bypass the jihadist defenses at Qal’at Al-Madiq and impose full control over the town later this morning.

According to a military source near the front-lines, the Syrian Arab Army captured the towns of Tal Hawash, Al-Kurkat, Qal’at Al-Madiq, and Al-Tuwanah in northwestern Hama.

The source added that the Syrian Army is now pushing to capture the key hilltop of Tal Sakher and its nearby town of Al-Hobeit. Once these areas are captured, the first phase of the Syrian Army offensive will have concluded.

For the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, they are likely to send their remaining reinforcements to the large town of Khan Sheikhoun in southern Idlib, as this could be a future target for the Syrian Arab Army and their allies.

Good for the SAA in recovering Syrian territory. The additional training by the IRGC and the Russians is paying dividends in speed of operations and battle efficiency.

Training by IRGC? ROFL! C’mon! I’d understand if you were talking about Hezbollah’s training as they inherited the Skorzeny method Mugniyeh was taught in Arafat’s Force 17. Was it Iranian Navy commandos, OK too, but not the IRGC, c’mon! With 80,000 IRGC in Syria in 2015, the country was about to fall, Bashar had to call Putin for help. IRGC are the “guardians of the revolution”. They’re trained at oppressing Iranian population to avoid a long overdue counter-revolution. IRGC are just highly fanatical and totally devoted to Khamenei, they’re not efficient at all, and there are enough Russian militaries testifying… Read more »

Due to this latest advance of the Syrian army, flags are flying at half-mast in neighboring Zionistan. ..

You’re absolutely wrong! SAA even gets intelligence from Mossad’s spy satellites, maybe if it’s channelled by GRU, even ImageSat International provides sat-imagery and they use the same sats Mossad has, they just have a little less resolution 🙂 Syria in itself is not seen as an issue for Israel…
Unlike Iran, Qatar or Turkey who fund and/or arm terrorists doing anti-Israeli attacks. And these will end paying dearly for it soon up or later.

Been a long time coming, lets hope they consolidate and reinforce these great gains and hold on to them,to many times in the past they were lax in this respect and ended up paying dearly for it.
Great news though lets hope it can continue.

So what ? Does this means that Syria will recover Idlib ? If not, then, there is nothing to celebrate.
