BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:45 A.M.) – Thousands of people attended a military parade for the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) on Thursday as they celebrated the victory over a so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the Al-Hasakah Governorate city of Qamishli.

The YPG military personnel were seen marching with their flags and driving army vehicles with a musical band also performing at this large event.

Below is a short video from the YPG’s military parade in the Al-Hasakah Governorate city of Qamishli on Thursday, March 28th:

The YPG controls a huge part of northeast Syria that borders both Iraq and Turkey, with the latter labeling the Kurdish-led group as a “terrorist entity” with ties to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

This large parade comes just days after the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the “total elimination of the so-called caliphate and 100 percent territorial defeat of ISIS” in Syria.

The Islamic State’s downfall initially began on March 2015, when the YPG defeated the Islamic State forces at the key border-city of Kobane (var. ‘Ayn Al-‘Arab).

ISIS had previously besieged the YPG at Kobane in late 2014; however, the latter was able to not halt the terrorist group’s advance, but also, retake almost all of their territory in northeast Syria.

It’s also true , YPG is an army but it’s also far from being a militia, they are hand in hand with a terrorist organisation Kurds- Christians Marrons- Allawi’s-Shia formed by PKK. In the long run Kurdistan will be an apartheid state a machine to destroy any sunni (ISIS’s religion – sunni ) opposition. But Erdogan has stated that one of his goals is to reestablish the boundaries of the Ottoman Empire, including areas currently controlled by the Kurds. Erdogan is a dictator and for this issue he is prepared to let pass on Sunni terrorists ISIS affiliate trough Turkey… Read more »

It’s a pity we sold 63 retired Mirage-F1 to ATAC/Textron. Once customised with Elta EL/M 2052 radar and Meteor+MICA-IR integrated and some last gen ECM, these can outgun Turkish F-16s.

Kurdistan is a proxy by Israel nothing else both of them backed by same master USA Zionist regime, you celebra5e victory but you only fought few hundred Islamic State soldiers and you came with coalition standing of 79 nations with aircover, before that you were caged in masses executed in masses and your soldiers just like Iraqi soldier fled in thousands, alone you can’t stand one day against Islamic State, if you could you wouldn’t lose every city in the beginning, rest assured

Big fat lie, the SDF didn’t dent Isis one bit, Isis carried out attacks against the SAA a few days ago.
