Su-27SM and Su-30M2 jets redeployed from Krasnodar Region’s Krymsk airport to the renovated Belbek airport in Crimea on Saturday.
“The first landing was done by a completely civilian aircraft Tu-134A. It was also a technical flight and according to the report of the flight commander, everything was normal and smooth. The airport is cool and wonderful,” Commander of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern District, Lieutenant General Victor Sevostyanov said.
The jets are to be put on duty straight away.
