BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:05 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force unleashed a wide-spread attack across northwestern Syria, today, targeting a number of sites belonging to the jihadist rebels.
Using their Sukhoi jets, the Russian Air Force launches over 35 airstrikes on Friday, hitting sites across the Idlib, Hama, and Aleppo governorates.
Most recently, the Russian Air Force launched strikes on the town’s of Hizareen, Qasabiyeh, Tramla, and Habit in southern Idlib; these strikes reportedly targeted the positions of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-Izza.
During these strikes, a Syrian military source in nearby Hama told Al-Masdar that the Russian Air Force destroyed a jihadist base in this region of Idlib.
In addition to their airstrikes on southern Idlib, the Russian Air Force also targeted Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions inside the Aleppo Governorate.
The Russian Air Force reportedly bombarded Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions inside the town Kafr Hamra, which is located at the northwestern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.
Opposition activists have accused the Russian Air Force of killing a half dozen civilians and wounding 12 others during their bombardment of northwestern Syria on Friday.
