BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – The Russian Air Force resumed their aerial campaign over the Idlib Governorate this morning, a source from the Syrian military told Al-Masdar News.
According to the source, the Russian Air Force targeted several sites along the Hama-Idlib axis, hitting a number of sites belonging to the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies.
The source added the primary focus of the airstrikes was on the jihadist supply line leading to the strategic hilltop of Tal Malah, which was captured by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-Izza last week.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has been working to recapture this hilltop from the jihadists for several days now; however, all of their attacks have been repulsed thus far.
As long as the jihadist rebels hold Tal Malah, the main road leading between the towns of Mhardeh and Sqaylabiyeh will remain cutoff.
