BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry sent two letters to the UN Secretary-General and the President of Security Council on the new Israeli attacks that took place last night.
“This aggression comes within the framework of the ongoing Israeli attempts to prolong the crisis in Syria and the terrorist war against it and to raise the morale of its agents of the remaining terrorist pockets as it is a new attempt by the Israeli government to escape its internal problems,” the Foreign Ministry began.
“Syria stresses that the continuation of Israel in its serious aggressive approach would not have been possible without the political, military and media cover provided by the US administration in the context of a state of immunity from any accountability provided by well-known states in the Security Council, which could enable Israel to continue to practice state terrorism and threat peace and security in the region and the world without any deterrent,” the ministry added in its letter.
The Israeli Air Force carried out a powerful attack near the Damascus International Airport, yesterday, striking an arms depot just outside the capital city.
