BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:45 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies from Jaysh Al-Izza launched an attack last night on the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) defenses at the town of Al-Hamamiyat in northwestern Hama.
Under the cover of night, the jihadist rebels attempted to break through the Syrian Army’s defenses at Al-Hamamiyat using both suicide bombers and their heavy weaponry.
The attack was ultimately foiled by the Syrian Arab Army after nearly two hours of combat in northwestern Hama.
According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Arab Army was able to kill several militants while also destroying three jihadist vehicles.
The source added that the three vehicles destroyed by the army were two technical vehicles and one tank.
