BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is currently hammering the northwestern countryside of Hama this afternoon, following their withdrawal from the strategic hilltop of Tal Malah.
According to a field source, the Syrian Arab Army is striking the area around Tal Malah with several surface-to-surface missiles and artillery shells.
The source added that the Syrian Arab Army is preparing to storm Tal Malah for the second time today in a bid to finally capture and secure the hilltop.
Earlier in the day, the Syrian Army seized Tal Malah from the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham; however, shortly after capturing the hilltop, they were forced to withdraw.
As long as the Syrian Army is unable to secure the hilltop, the jihadist rebels can continue to push the government forces back towards their previous lines.
