BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:20 P.M.) – The Israeli Air Force launched a new attack on the western countryside of Damascus, today, a military source told Al-Masdar News from the Syrian capital.
According to the source in the capital city, the Syrian military activated their air defenses and began downing the Israeli missiles that were targeting the southwestern countryside of Damascus.
The source said that their Syrian military’s Pantsir air defense system repelled the attack, claiming that no missiles reached their intended targets.
He would add that the Israeli military fired a total of nine missiles.
This latest attack by the Israeli Air Force comes just days after they heavily bombed the eastern and western countrysides of Damascus.
The previous Israeli attack was more successful as they were able to destroy two missile storages: one near the Damascus International Airport and the other near the town Jdeidat Artouz.
