Turkish Minister of Interior Affairs Suleyman Soylu announced that Turkey and Iran carried out a joint military operation against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), during a political rally in Antalya on Monday.
“At 8:00 am today, we have started a joint operation with Iran along our eastern borders against PKK [Kurdistan Workers’ Party] for the first time. My friends will provide details, where, when, with how many troops etc. I just want you to know that we will not give them a chance to breathe. We will exterminate them. We will save our nation from this evil,” said Soylu.
It is the first time that Turkey and Iran conduct joint military operations.
