BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 A.M.) – The Turkish military and their allies are still attacking the key border city of Ras Al-‘Ayn in northern Syria, despite the implementation of the U.S.-brokered ceasefire last night.
According to a source in northern Syria, the Turkish military and their allies from the so-called “Syrian National Army” are attempting to advance inside of Ray Al-‘Ayn, as they attack the Syrian Democratic Forces’ (SDF) positions at the eastern part of the city,
The source said no advances have been made by the Turkish-backed militants, but he added that the latter is attempting to use the ceasefire to get the international media to ignore their ongoing operation.
The Turkish regime has faced heavy international criticism for their operation in northern Syria, as it has resulted in the displacement of hundreds of thousands of civilians and dozens of casualties.
Since launching Operation Peace Spring on October 9th, the Turkish military and their allies have captured several areas in northern Syria, including the border town of Tal Abyad.
