BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is allegedly trading Syrian oil to Israel, a new report from the Kuwait-based Rai Al-Youm newspaper reported.

Citing local sources, Rai Al-Youm claimed that the Syrian Democratic Forces were swapping oil from eastern Syria for Israel weapons and military equipment.

The Kuwaiti newspaper claimed the Syrian Democratic Forces were adopting hostile policies towards people in the region.

The pro-opposition Al-Khabor News Agency made the same allegation, but quoted their own sources in the region.

The Khabor News Agency added that the Syrian Democratic Forces received U.S. air defense systems, Israeli anti-tank Spike missiles, and shoulder-mounted surface-to-air Stinger missiles and drones.

In a recent development, the pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that a U.S. Coalition convoy consisting of 70 trucks made its way from western Iraq to eastern Syria.

The SOHR report alleged that the U.S. Coalition’s military convoy was carrying weapons and logistical equipment that was destined for areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces.

It is worth noting that pro-opposition activists and media reports have made these allegations in the past; however, there has been no proof corroborate these claims.

Despite these claims, the Syrian Democratic Forces have denied that they have any plans of attacking the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies in eastern Syria.

This is clearly a fake news because There is no terrestrial or maritime way to transport “Syrian oil” to Israel and nobody could transport oil by air!

AMN has a habit of sensationalism and, too often, fake news. Sometimes it pays to check sources and apply logic.
