DAMASCUS, SYRIA (10:00 P.M.) – ISIS sleeper cells were filming close by as one of their fighters detonated his suicide belt amid a political gathering that saw nine people killed in the Afghan capital on Thursday.

ISIS claimed responsibility almost immediately after the attack took place and has since released a short video of the blatant terror attack, seemingly aimed at taking out high-ranking politicians.

The fact that someone was recording the above footage in advance of the suicide bombing strongly suggests that many ISIS members, likely hundreds, maintain an underground presense in the government-held city of Kabul.

Najib Danish, spokesman of the Interior Ministry, said that the attacker detonated a payload at the entrance to a wedding hall and added that two civilians and seven police officers died due to the ISIS bombing.

The meeting hosted around 700 supporters of the governor of Balkh Province whom attended the conference to highlight his political work.
