BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:20 A.M.) – Earlier today, the Jordanian authorities reopened the Jaber Crossing at the Syrian border for the first time in three years.
According to a government report, a large number of taxis and trucks from Jordan crowded the Syrian border to enter the country.
The video below shows the first car from Jordan entering Syria via the Jaber Crossing:
The Jordanian border was completely closed in early 2015 after the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Jabhat Al-Nusra seized a large amount of territory from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
The Syrian Arab Army would retake the entire Jordanian-Daraa border this summer after launching a large-scale offensive in the southern part of the country.
